Moving long queues at immigration. Chaotic but working collection in middle of the road by booked taxi to Riva Surya Hotel.
Polite and friendly welcome. Top floor (5th floor) room over looking Chao Phraya river in central, Phra Nakhon district.
Dinner by the river with complimentary drinks followed by happy ‘hour’ (2000-2200) 2 for 1 drinks! Peter ate seafood stir fry and I ate pesto pasta!
Enjoyed watching the dinner cruise boats but the noisy and repetitive renditions of “Happy Birthday” were best enjoyed out of earshot.
