Day 4, Bangkok

We started with a quick walk to the Konnichipan Bakery.

View westerly across Chao Phraya river to Wat Rakhang

Keen to have a rest during the 30° heat of the day and the severe air pollution we set off for China town midafternoon.

The China town market was enormous with whole stalls dedicated to perhaps one plastic hair ornament or a single coloured, just pink, plastic paraphernalia. It was depressing for the future of our planet.

Leaving China town we cut through the flower market and stumbled across a wood panelled bar by Sunset rajinee pier.

A pretty walk over a little footbridge and we were back by Wat Pho in time for our booked table at Above Riva, there to view sunset over Wat Arun.

Walked off our enormous supper (the on-off hoppy boats had stopped after dusk). Alarm set for an early start…
