Day 6, Worth Maltravers to Studland

We woke to thick fog with visibility less than 5 metres – curtailing our plans to start at the cliff edge! Our hostess, Alison Arnold advised we start via the Priest’s Way.

Outside the Old Post Office, Worth Maltravers

Dinosaur footprints (here’s one taken in December 2022, because the fog was too quick to see them today), the Priests Way 1 mile east of Worth Maltravers, 1/2 mile north of Dancing Ledge, 2 and a half miles west of Swanage

Arrived Swanage

After a pleasant stroll along Swanage seafront it was the cliff path up Whitecliff!

Picked up our acorn signs easily
View of Whitecliff, ahead to our east
We can hardly believe I got up the cliff edge path – Peter wasn’t sure I’d seen the drop – I had, but I wasn’t looking!
View over Swanage bay, westwards from the top of Whitecliff
View of Sandbanks and Poole harbour, eastwards from the top of Whitecliff
Old Harry’s rocks
95 miles done and 2.7 km ascended in 6 days!

With thanks to Sally, our final guest walking companion who also drove us home!
